Dear Parents,
I’d love for you to use this newsletter to review this week’s Bible story with your child at home.
This week, we’ll learn about “Peter Was Rescued from Prison” (Acts 12). Seeing someone rescued from a dangerous situation causes us to celebrate and be thankful. We’re going to learn how God rescued Peter from prison and how the church was praying for Peter’s rescue.
Review the gospel and encourage your child to speak with you if they have questions. Most of all, remind your child that prayer is talking to God and listening to Him. Tell them that prayer was an essential practice of the early church. The Bible shows us how the church was devoted to prayer and earnestly prayed to God. The Bible teaches us that as we pray, God hears and will act. We can trust that prayer makes a difference in what happens. Pray with your child, thanking God He hears our prayers and wants us to talk with Him.
