Dear Parents,
I’d love for you to use this newsletter to review this week’s Bible story with your child at home.
This week, we’ll learn about “Peter Performed Miracles” (Acts 9). When Jesus was on earth, He performed many miracles. We will learn how His power was at work in Peter and allowed him to perform miracles. God’s church had grown and Peter visited with believers in different cities. The Holy Spirit was at work through Peter to help others trust in Jesus.
Review the gospel and encourage your child to speak with you if they have questions. Remind your child that when Peter healed Aeneas, he said it was Jesus who really healed Aeneas. Discuss how Peter did not seek to make his name great but wanted all glory to go to Jesus. Also, death is not the end for those who place their faith in Jesus. Jesus rose from the dead, conquering death so all believe in Him have the gift of eternal life. Remind your child that as people were healed or raised to life, many trusted in Jesus. Then pray, praising Jesus for His power to heal and to save.
