Dear Parents,
This week, we’ll learn about “The Holy Spirit Changes Us” (Galatians 5). When we are saved, God changes us to look more like Jesus through the power of the Holy Spirit. Jesus always perfectly lived by the Spirit and showed others love, joy, patience, kindness, and so on. The Holy Spirit changes us so that we want to obey God, and He gives us power to obey. The Holy Spirit helps us as we share the gospel in all the world.
Review the gospel and encourage your child to speak with you if they have questions. Remind your child that as we choose to allow the Spirit to lead us, we look more like Jesus. Share how the Spirit produces good fruit that reflects the character of Jesus. Discuss how bearing good fruit helps us become powerful witnesses to a life changed by Jesus to those around us. Then pray, thanking God for the Holy Spirit who leads and guides us as we follow Him.
