Dear Parents,
This week, we’ll learn about “The Disciples Replaced Judas”
(Acts 1). After Judas’ death, the disciples needed to choose someone to take his place. But the man wasn’t chosen by defeating others. He was chosen by God through prayer and casting lots. In our Bible story, we will see how God calls us to work together to complete the mission He has given us.
Review the gospel and encourage your child to speak with you if they have questions. Discuss how just as Jesus’ disciples trusted the Lord through prayer, we can trust God with every aspect of our lives through prayer. Remind your child that s the Holy Spirit works in us, He helps transform us so we look more and more like Jesus. The Holy Spirit lives in us to comfort and guide us no matter what situation we may face. Then pray, thanking God for hearing our prayers and guiding us through His Spirit.
