Dear Parents,
This week, we’ll learn about “Jesus Forgave Peter” (John 21). In our Bible story, Jesus appeared to His disciples and sought them, even after they had abandoned Him. God loves and forgives sinners. Jesus restored Peter’s relationship with Him and wanted to use Peter in His plan to help others know and believe in the gospel.
Review the gospel and encourage your child to speak with you if they have questions. Tell your child that Jesus’ blood washes away our sin and brings us to God where we experience forgiveness and life with Him. Remind your child that God calls all people to come to Him to repent of sins and find forgiveness. Then pray, thanking God for sending Jesus to forgive us of our sins. And ask Him to use us as part of His plan to help others know Him.
