Dear Parents,
This week, we’ll learn about “Moses Parted the Red Sea” (Exodus 13-15). After Pharaoh let the Israelites go, God led them with a pillar of cloud by day and a pillar of fire by night. When Pharaoh pursued them with his army, the Israelites were trapped at the Red Sea. But God showed His power: He parted the sea so His people could cross on dry ground. The Egyptians followed, but the waters crashed back over them. The Israelites praised God for His miraculous salvation, which reminds us of how Jesus saves us from sin through His death and resurrection.
I hope this message will inspire your child to grow in the love and light of Jesus. To help reinforce the lesson at home, please discuss the following points with your child:
- God’s Protection: Share how God led the Israelites with a cloud and fire and protected them from Pharaoh’s army.
- God’s Miraculous Power: Talk about how God parted the Red Sea to save His people and how He still works miracles today.
- Praising God for Salvation: Explain how the Israelites sang a song of praise and how we can thank God for sending Jesus to save us.
Pray with your child, praising God for His power to save and thanking Him for Jesus, our ultimate rescuer.
