Dear Parents,

This week, we’ll learn about God Called Moses” (Exodus 1–4). As the Israelites suffered in Egypt, God heard their cries and chose Moses to lead them out of slavery. Despite Moses’ doubts, God showed His power through miracles, assuring Moses that He would be with him. Moses obeyed God’s call and prepared to return to Egypt with his brother Aaron. Just as God sent Moses to rescue His people, God sent Jesus to save us from the slavery of sin through His death and resurrection.

I hope this message will inspire your child to grow in the love and light of Jesus. To help reinforce the lesson at home, please discuss the following points with your child:

  • God Hears Our Cries: Share how God listened to the Israelites’ suffering and hears us when we pray to Him.
  • God Chooses and Equips: Talk about how God chose Moses and gave him the power and help he needed for His mission.
  • Jesus, Our Rescuer: Connect Moses’ rescue of the Israelites to Jesus rescuing us from sin and giving us freedom.

Pray with your child, thanking God for hearing us and for sending Jesus to rescue us from sin.

Grace and blessings in Christ,

Danny Sungshin Park
