Dear Parents,
This week, we’ll learn about “God Created the World” (Genesis 1–2). In the beginning, God created everything by His word. Over six days, He formed the heavens, earth, light, sky, seas, plants, animals, and finally, people—His special creation made in His image. God saw that all He made was good, and on the seventh day, He rested. Through faith, we believe that Jesus, the Word of God, created and holds everything together, fulfilling God’s perfect plan.
I hope this message will inspire your child to grow in the love and light of Jesus. To help reinforce the lesson at home, please discuss the following points with your child:
- Creation of the World: Talk about how God created everything by speaking, from light to plants, animals, and people.
- Special Creation: Explain why humans are special in God’s creation, being made in His image and given a special role.
- Rest and Worship: Discuss the importance of the seventh day when God rested and how we can remember to rest and worship Him.
Pray with your child, thanking God for creating everything and asking for a heart that loves and cares for His creation.
