Dear Parents,
This week, we’ll learn about “We Are Here to Make Much of Jesus” (1 Thessalonians 4–5). Paul wrote a letter to the church in Thessalonica, teaching them to live in a way that pleases God. He encouraged them to work hard, love one another, and live responsibly. Paul comforted them with the promise of Jesus’ return, bringing joy and hope. He also urged them to be grateful and prayerful, living holy lives to honor Jesus and spread the good news.
I hope this message will inspire your child to grow in the love and light of Jesus. To help reinforce the lesson at home, please discuss the following points with your child:
- Living for Jesus: Discuss how we can live in a way that pleases God by doing what is right and good.
- Loving One Another: Talk about the importance of loving and respecting each other like family, showing sincere love.
- Joyful and Prayerful: Explain why we should always be joyful, pray constantly, and give thanks in all circumstances.
Pray with your child, thanking God for His love and asking for help to live in a way that honors Jesus.
