Dear Parents,
This week, we’ll learn about “Paul Preached in Rome” (Acts 28). After a shipwreck, Paul stayed on the island of Malta, where he healed people and shared the good news of Jesus. Once in Rome, Paul, though a prisoner, continued to preach from his home, meeting Jewish leaders and teaching about God’s kingdom and Jesus as the Messiah. For two years, Paul welcomed everyone who wanted to hear about Jesus, sharing the gospel and encouraging believers. His unwavering faith and dedication spread the message of salvation throughout Rome.
I hope this message will inspire your child to grow in the love and light of Jesus. To help reinforce the lesson at home, please discuss the following points with your child:
- Paul’s Courage: Discuss how Paul continued to preach about Jesus even when he was a prisoner, showing bravery and faith.
- Helping Others: Talk about how Paul healed and helped the people on Malta and how we can show kindness in our own lives.
- Sharing the Good News: Explain the importance of sharing Jesus’ message of love and salvation with others, just like Paul did.
Pray with your child, asking God to help us persevere in sharing the gospel with those who need to hear.
Grace and blessings in Christ,
Danny Sungshin Park
