Dear Parents,
I’d love for you to use this newsletter to review this week’s Bible story with your child at home.
This week, we’ll learn about “Gentiles Became Part of the Church” (Acts 11). The Bible teaches us that we belong to Jesus’ body—the church—when we trust in Him. We are going to hear about how Gentiles became part of the church. According to our Bible story, when the Jewish believers heard that the Holy Spirit had come upon the Gentile believers, they glorified God and knew the gospel was for all people. God offers salvation to all people through faith in Jesus.
Review the gospel and encourage your child to speak with you if they have questions. Remind your child of the big picture answer: “The church is all Christians everywhere, who gather together in their communities to worship and serve God.” Tell them that the church is a body united in Jesus; every person plays a key role in serving the body and helping the church share the gospel with the world. Pray with your child, asking God to help us be faithful to share the good news everywhere we go so that others may believe and be saved.
