Dear Parents,
Today, we’ll learn about “Jesus Was Raised” (Matthew 27-28; Mark 15-16; Luke 23-24; John 19-20). Resurrection means that someone who was dead has come back to life. In today’s story, God raised Jesus from the dead. Jesus died for our sins but He is more powerful than death. Jesus perfectly rules over the universe as the King of kings. He is the King who came to save us and give us eternal life.
Review the gospel and encourage your child to speak with you if they have questions. Tell your child that the story today reminds us that nothing on earth is greater or more powerful than Jesus—not even death! God was pleased with Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross and raised Him from the dead. Remind your child that Jesus rules and reigns as King forever, and through Him we have salvation and eternal life. Then pray, thanking God for Jesus’ death and resurrection that saves us and gives us life.
Grace and blessings in Christ,
